About the Role
This position is designed as a contract between an individual and the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging for part-time, grant-funded work estimated at 10 hours per week. The position is hybrid, allowing for mostly virtual work with up to two in-person meetings each month in the twin cities. This role was first established in 2018 and is funded through calendar year 2023, with the intention of continuation in the future.
Internal
The Director of Equity will focus on internal capacity-building goals of the Leadership Council and its member delegates, including staff support for the monthly meetings of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
External
This is also a public-facing role, responsible for fostering relationships across our members, funders, and statewide communities, including convening the monthly meetings of the Minnesota Diverse Elders Coalition.
Champion
We are in search of a dynamic individual aligned with our commitment to anti-ageism and anti-racism work who will continue to enhance our efforts through positive statewide leadership.
We are especially encouraging Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to apply.
